Wichita, KS (November 20th) - As everyone enjoys the holidays, there are those that are less fortunate and are unable to have a Turkey Feast! The Wichita Thunder is committed to making a difference in the community and have partnered up with the Kansas Food Bank for a Food Drive on Friday before the game.

Fans are encouraged to drop off canned-food items at the box office before Friday's game against the Quad City Mallards. For each fan that participates, they will be able to purchase a ticket at full price, buy the second ticket for just $5! All the items will then be donated to the Kansas Food Bank, which has a mission of providing comprehensive and compassionate HungerCare whenever and wherever it is needed to safeguard the health, well-being and productivity of food-insecure Kansas families and their children, as well as senior citizens, the homeless and the chronically ill and impoverished in the Wichita area.

"We are excited to partner with this great cause," commented Director of Ticket Sales Luke Schuellein. "There are those that do not have the luxuries that others have and we want to be able to put a smile on someone's face as we move closer to the holiday season."

Wichita is on the road tonight to take on their heated rival, the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05 p.m. Fans can watch the game at Pucks Sports Bar, the Official Watch Party Establishment of the Wichita Thunder. Pucks is located inside the Wichita Ice Center at 505 W. Maple Street.
