WICHITA, KS- Eleven of the twelve regular season games between the Wichita Thunder and their instate rival Topeka Tarantulas will be seen statewide on a tape delayed basis Thunder General Manager David Holt announced today.
The games will be seen in both markets on Cox Cable's Kansas Now Network channel 22. In addition to the regular season television lineup, there will also be a weekly coach's show with interviews and highlights of both teams. The coach's show will air each Saturday at 12noon beginning October 23rd. On Saturday October 16th an hour long preseason "Face Off" show will air at 12noon analyzing the upcoming season for both teams.
Each of the game broadcast, coach's show and preseason "Face Off" special is being produced by RunTIME Productions based in Wichita, Kansas. RunTIME General Manager, John Pappert stated "This partnership with both franchises in Kansas is a unique opportunity to provide the sports fans in the state a chance to witness this rivalry from either location, and allow both teams to benefit from added exposure during the course of the season".
"This rivalry will be one of the most heated in the entire CHL and having the opportunity for our fans to keep up with each game via the television package is sure to help keep it that way" stated Thunder General Manger David Holt
