
Thunder Grows Missouri/Kansas Rivalry by Taking on Mavericks

WICHITA, KS - The Thunder takes on rivals the Missouri Mavericks this Friday at INTRUST Bank Arena. The game will be a turning point, as both teams are undefeated this season.
Hockey fans are calling it 'the border war.' And the Thunder is not the only Wichita team to face Missouri this weekend. The Wichita Wings will be playing the Missouri comets on Thursday in Wichita, as well.
Missouri and Kansas have a long history of being sports rivals, with the intense animosity between the KU Jayhawks and the Mizzou Tigers. The bitter rivalry has made its way to Wichita.
Thunder fans and Maverick fans have been taking shots at one another through online fan forums with challenging comments and insults. With all of the intense emotion surrounding these two teams, Friday's game will be one you won't want to miss.
