Wichita Thunder News Release
WICHITA, KS- The Thunder made room for newly acquired forward Tim Earl today, trading defenseman Kim Brandvold to the Odessa Jackalopes for future considerations.
Brandvold, a rookie out of Oslo, Norway, recorded three assists in 33 games for the Thunder this season. Earl, meanwhile, was traded to the Thunder on Saturday from the Austin Ice Bats, where he had five goals and 13 points in 35 games and was leading the team with a plus/minus rating of +14.
The Thunder will also welcome defenseman Darren McMillan back to the lineup this weekend, giving the Thunder a full 18-man roster for just the seventh time this season and for the first time since December 9. McMillan had missed the last four games due to personal reasons.
The Thunder, 5-1-1 in their last seven games, returns to action on Friday at the Oklahoma City Blazers. The Thunder will host the Colorado Eagles for the first time this season on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and another large crowd is expected at the Kansas Coliseum.
Wichita will host the Memphis RiverKings on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. The first AT&T post game skate of the season will follow. For tickets or more information, call the Thunder office at 264-GOAL or visit our website at www.wichitathunder.com.
