Thunder Activate INF Luke Murton; Place Adams on DL

(Trenton, NJ) The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced today that INF Luke Murton has been activated from the team's disabled list and INF David Adams has been placed on the DL (retroactive to 4/12) with neck stiffness. Murton has been rehabbing in extended spring training and will be in the lineup Saturday afternoon at Akron. He led the Tampa Yankees in RBIs in 2011. The team is still expected to play with 24 active players at Akron this afternoon.

The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, are located in Trenton, NJ and play in the 12 team Eastern League. The Thunder have drawn over 7.7 million fans in 18 years and have won the three major awards that Minor League Baseball teams can win; the Johnson Trophy for the "Nation's Best Franchise" (2005), the Larry MacPhail Trophy for Outstanding Club Promotion (2003) and the Bob Frietas Award for Long-Term Success (1998, given by Baseball America ).
