CLEARWATER-- A five-run first inning for the Palm Beach Cardinals off of Phillies rehabber Cliff Lee lifted the Cardinals to a 12-2 win over Clearwater on Monday night.

The win secured a four-game sweep by Palm Beach over Clearwater.

Lee made his final rehab start with the Threshers (9-15) and went 4.2 innings, allowing eight runs - three earned - while walking one and striking out two.

"I felt okay, obviously I'd like for the results to better," Lee said following his outing. "It's nice to get my pitch count up, I feel like now I can go out and throw 90-100 pitches."

Lee will reportedly return to the Philadelphia Phillies and pitch again on July 21.

"I'm glad that it's over now, and I can go back and help the team." Lee said.

The Cardinals (18-6) scored five unearned runs off of Lee in the top of the first inning to jump out to a 5-0 lead.

Luke Voit of Palm Beach continued his strong series with a 2-for-4 night with a double and two RBI's. Voit also scored twice.

Brian Pointer hit his team-leading ninth homer in the second inning off of Silfredo Garcia to pull the Threshers within four runs. Pointer finished 2-for-4 with two RBI's and a homer.

Garcia (6-1) secured the win by tossing five innings, surrendering just one run on five hits while striking out three.

Fresh off a 1-for-2 performance in the MLB Futures Game on Sunday, J.P. Crawford went 3-for-3 with three singles, a walk, and a run scored.

The Threshers have the day off Tuesday and return to the diamond on Wednesday when they start a four-game series in Bradenton against the Marauders at McKechnie Field. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. Colin Kleven will toe the rubber for Clearwater and Bradenton will send Jason Creasy to the mound. Coverage begins at 6:15 p.m. on threshersbaseball.com.
