
Three Temporary Players Added to Honkers' Roster

Rochester Honkers Signee, Infielder Christopher Scalisi of University of Redlands

(Rochester, Minn.) - The Rochester Honkers announced today the signing of left-handed pitchers Jesse Ellefson of Montevallo (Ala.) and Carter Lilly of Corpus Christi (Tex.) and infielder Christopher Scalisi of University of Redlands (Calif.), to temporary contracts for the 2016 Northwoods League season.
Ellesfson, a freshman from North Fort Myers, Fla., has a 0-0 record for Montevallo and a 5.40 ERA. He has pitched 6.2 innings in nine appearances for the Falcons, with eight walks and two strikeouts. Ellesfson has not allowed a run in his last two appearances.
Lilly, a freshman from Helotes, Texas, has two appearances for the Islanders, walking two batters, and striking out one in one inning of work. In a game against University of Texas - San Antonio, Lily went a full inning without giving up a hit or run, with one strikeout.
Scalisi, a junior from Woodland Hills, Calif., has played in 35 games for the Bulldogs this season with a .392 average, while collecting 44 RBIs, scoring 34 runs and taking 19 walks. In his last game against Occidental (Los Angeles), he went 3 for 5 in a 6-5 loss.
The Rochester Honkers 23rd season begins on May 31st when the team travels to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to take on the Express. The following night, Wednesday, June 1st, the Honkers battle the Express in their home opener at Mayo Field at 7:05 pm. Season Tickets, Bonus Books, Suites and Patios are now available.
