
Three Stingrays Head to Washington for Capitals Rookie Development Camp

North Charleston, SC - South Carolina Stingrays Equipment Manager John Williams, forward Dmitry Kugryshev and defenseman Dustin Stevenson are traveling north for the Washington Capitals Development Camp that runs from July 11-16 at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va.
For Williams, this will be his fourth Washington Capitals Development Camp. He will assist the Capitals' equipment staff in the day-to-day operations of the camp.
Kugryshev, 21, dressed in three games for the Stingrays during the 2010-11 season earning one assist. In 64 games with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), the Moscow, Russia, native recorded 14 points (6g, 8a).
Stevenson, 22, tallied three goals and nine assists for 12 points and 44 penalty minutes in 63 games for the Stingrays last season. Signed as a free agent by the Capitals, the Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, native scored his first professional goal on January 17, 2011 against the Gwinnett Gladiators.
