Three Prospects Sign With Americans

KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans General Manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has signed three prospects to standard WHL Players Contracts.

Signing today was 16-year-old Justin Feser, a 5'9, 170 pound forward, from Red Deer, Alberta. Feser appeared in 30 games for the Red Deer AAA Midget Hockey club in Alberta, collecting 19 goals and 30 points. A ninth round (194th overall) pick in the 2007 Bantam Draft by Tri-City, Feser also picked up a goal for Team White in the Todd Klassen Memorial Classic this past weekend.

Tanner Olstad, a 5'8 160 pound forward, also signed today. The 16-year-old from Calgary, Alberta played Midget AA in Calgary last season, recording 29 goals, 24 assists and 53 points in 28 games. Olstad was an eighth round (172nd overall) pick by Tri-City in the 2007 Bantam Draft.

Rounding out today's signings is 17-year-old forward Spencer Asuchak. Last season, the 6'4, 200 pound native of Kamloops, BC, played Midget AAA in Kamloops, registering 10 goals and 25 points in 35 games. Asuchak was listed by Tri-City last spring and has a strong showing during the Americans' training camp.

All three players attended the Americans' rookie camp this past week and earned a return invite back for the Americans' main camp this week. They will all compete for spots on this season's team and participate in both the Everett Tournament and Red Lion Hotels Pre-Season Tournament over the next two weeks. Individual game tickets will go on sale starting Tuesday, September 2 at 10:00 a.m.
