Houston Dynamo FC News Release
HOUSTON - The Houston Dynamo will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 landing on the moon this evening as they face Seattle Sounders FC at BBVA Stadium for Space City Night, presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar.
The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition Dynamo Space City patch courtesy of Pepsi Zero Sugar. Festivities include a space exploration display in the Bud Light Beer Garden and a Lunar Lander outside the Memorial Hermann gate, located on the northwest side of BBVA Stadium.
On the field, Houston will look to even the season series with Seattle after falling in the Pacific Northwest earlier this year. Although Seattle holds a 9-4-6 lead in the series, four of the last five matches have been decided by a single goal, including the last meeting between both clubs on May 11. An early goal from Cristian Roldan gave Seattle three points at CenturyLink Field and gave Houston their second defeat of the season. Houston holds a 4-1-4 at home against the Sounders and with a victory, the Dynamo would snap a four-game losing streak against Seattle. Houston's last victory in the series came on opening day in 2017 as Romell Quioto and Erick Torres led the Dynamo to a 2-1 victory at BBVA Stadium.
Dynamo forward Alberth Elis will not return to league play this evening after serving a one-game suspension. The MLS discipline committee announced on Friday evening that it issued an additional match suspension (two games total) and an additional undisclosed fine to the Honduran international for aggressive behavior toward a match official during the sixth minute of Houston's game against Atlanta United on July 17.
The Dynamo will remain in Houston after six road matches in a month to host the Chicago Fire after the All-Star break for Military Appreciation Night presented by Houston Audi Dealers.

Here are three key points ahead of tonight's game:
FRESH LEGS, CLEAR FOCUS - The Dynamo made 10 lineup changes for Wednesday's Leagues Cup quarterfinal against Club America and seven players are expected to return to the fold this evening after missing the midweek clash. A.J. DeLaGarza, Maynor Figueroa and Kiki Struna return to the Dynamo backline. Houston's Argentine duo - Tomas Martinez and Matias Vera are available to duel with Uruguayan playmaker Nicolas Lodeiro. Tommy McNamara and Houston's leading goal scorer, Mauro Manotas, also return to the Dynamo frontline.
GRUELING SUMMER STRETCH ENDS AT HOME- Houston will aim to go into the All-Star break with a victory - their eighth at BBVA Stadium this season and position themselves in the middle of the playoff race toward the final stretch of the season. Houston will also enjoy a small window to recover after a grueling stretch that saw the Dynamo play 10 games since June 11, including a three-game cross country road trip.
RUIDIAZ AND LODEIRO AT THE HELM FOR SEATTLE - The Sounders are powered by a South American duo that has combined for 12 goals and 10 assists this season. Raul Ruidiaz leads the team with eight goals and has tallied one assist in 12 matches for Seattle. The Peruvian international has missed time while representing Peru at the 2019 Copa America in Brazil, reaching the final of the tournament for the first time since 1975. Nicolas Lodeiro has tallied nine assists this season, almost a third of the total assists for the Sounders this season.
