
Three JetHawks Named Cal League All-Stars

LANCASTER, Calif. - Three JetHawks were named to the California League All-Star team and will participate in the California vs. Carolina League All-Star Game at LoanMart Field in Rancho Cucamonga on June 23. Shortstop Jack Mayfield, centerfielder Brett Phillips and first baseman A.J. Reed were all named starters for the Cal League, giving the JetHawks more starters than any other team in the league.
Phillips leads all of minor league baseball with 54 runs scored and ranks second with 77 hits while pacing the Cal League in total bases with 58. The 21-year-old has tallied 16 doubles, six triples and 11 homers on the season.
Reed, a two-time Cal League Player of the Week and Cal League May Player of the Month, leads the league with 15 homers and 52 RBIs. His .980 OPS ranks second in the league, just ahead of Phillips at .958.
Mayfield, 24, leads all Cal League shortstops in batting average (.309) and OPS (.839).
This year's game is the 19th between the two leagues. The all-time record is tied at 8-8-2.
