
Three Houston Dash Players Named to USWNT Roster for October Friendlies

Houston DashÃÂ goalkeeperÃÂ Jane Campbell, defenderÃÂ Abby DahlkemperÃÂ and midfielder Kristie Mewis were named to the U.S. Women's National Team roster for a pair of friendlies later this month, the federation announced earlier today.ÃÂ
The four-time FIFA Women's World Cup champions will faceÃÂ Korea RepublicÃÂ for a pair of friendliesÃÂ which will also mark the final appearances for former Dash midfielder and USWNT legend Carli Lloyd in a U.S. uniform. TheÃÂ first friendly is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan. The match will air live at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2 and TUDN. The USWNTÃÂ closeÃÂ the two-game series at Allianz Field on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. CT and fans fan follow the match on FS1 and TUDN.ÃÂ
Campbell has earnedÃÂ sixÃÂ caps with the U.S. Women's National Team, including the team's 6-0 victory over Argentina to capture the 2021ÃÂ SheBelievesÃÂ Cup championshipÃÂ earlier this year. The Dash goalkeeper hasÃÂ fourÃÂ clean sheets in 15ÃÂ appearances for Houston this season.ÃÂ
Dahlkemper joined the Dash on Aug. 29 and has appeared inÃÂ fiveÃÂ games for Houston this season. The USWNT veteran has earned 76ÃÂ appearances at the senior level and won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.ÃÂ
Mewis hasÃÂ threeÃÂ goalsÃÂ andÃÂ fourÃÂ assists inÃÂ 13ÃÂ appearancesÃÂ for Houston this season. The midfielder has earnedÃÂ 30ÃÂ appearances for USWNT and joined Campbell and Dahlkemper at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
