Three Attack Players On NHL Draft Radar

The April 2006 International Scouting Service report has been released and three members of the Owen Sound Attack are still on the radar for the 2006 NHL Draft.

Defenceman Bobby Sanguinetti has moved into the top 10 for the 2006 NHL Draft into 9th position. During the regular season Bobby Sanguinetti was 4th in Owen Sound Attack scoring and 4th in OHL Defenceman scoring with 65 points in 68 games played. So far in the playoffs Sanguinetti is on a 4 game point scoring streak. He is currently 3rd in Owen Sound Attack playoff scoring and tied for 2nd in OHL Playoff Defenceman Scoring with 7 points in 5 games played. He is tied for 11th in OHL Playoff Assists with 5. He is tied for 11th in OHL Playoff Power Play Goals with 2 and he is tied for 12th in OHL Playoff Power Play Assists with 4. He was named the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week for the final week of the regular season. He was named the Owen Sound Attack Defenceman of the Month for January 2006 and March 2006. He was named the Owen Sound Attack Player of the Month for February 2006.

Defenceman Theo Peckham has also moved up in the rankings to 57th overall. He had a personal best during the regular season finishing with 15 points in 67 games played. The amazing statistic since he plays such a physical game was the fact that he missed just 1 regular season game. He finished the regular season 2nd in OHL Penalty Minutes with 236. He is currently on a 3 game point streak in the playoffs. He is currently 7th in Owen Sound Attack Playoff Scoring with 4 points. He is currently tied for 18th in OHL Playoff Penalty Minutes with 14. He was named the Owen Sound Attack Defenceman of the Month for December 2005.

The third member of the Attack to make the list is Mount Forest native Scott Tregunna at #262 overall. He finished 8th in Attack regular season scoring with 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points in 66 games played. He was also a very respectable Plus 7 in his rookie season, one of the top ratings for the team. So far he is tied for 9th in Attack Playoff scoring with a Plus 3 rating.
