Portland Thorns FC News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC square off against the Houston Dash, in a match presented by Oregon Lottery, on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Providence Park. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be broadcast on Yahoo! Sports.
Playoff picture
Portland (10-5-6, 36pts) enters Saturday's match sitting in third place in the NWSL standings. Thorns FC trail the Chicago Red Stars (38pts) in second place by just two points and have a five-point lead over Reign FC and Utah Royals FC, which are both tied for fourth in the standings with 31 points. Portland plays two of its last three matches at Providence Park, concluding the regular season on Oct. 12 against the Washington Spirit, while playing a road match against Reign FC on Sept. 29.

Thorns FC rank second in the NWSL with 39 goals this season, scoring 21 of their goals in the first half of matches. Portland is 7-0-4 when scoring first this season, including a mark of 5-0-1 in home matches. Individually, Horan has scored five goals in seven matches against the Dash, which is the most goals for Horan against a single opponent.

Up next, Thorns FC travel for the final regular-season road match of the campaign against Reign FC on Sunday, Sept. 29, at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash. Beginning at 11 a.m. (Pacific), the match features a national television broadcast on ESPN2.
