PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC travel for a road match against the Houston Dash on Saturday, June 29, at BBVA Stadium. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific), the game will be broadcast on Yahoo! Sports.

Recent form

Portland (4-1-4, 16pts) is unbeaten in its last four matches (2-0-2) after playing to a scoreless draw with Utah Royals FC at Providence Park on June 21. In its last four matches, Thorns FC have conceded just one goal, registering three shutouts. Portland has recorded four shutouts this season, which ranks third in the NWSL.

Road tested

Thorns FC will play their eighth road match of the season on Saturday. Portland has earned at least one point in six of its seven road matches (3-1-3) this season, scoring in all seven matches. Thorns FC's 14 road goals rank as the most among teams in the league in 2019. Additionally, Midge Purce has scored two of her four goals on the road. Dating back to the 2018 season, Portland has suffered just one loss in its last nine road games (5-1-3).

Against Houston

Saturday's match marks the 14th meeting all-time between Portland and Houston. Thorns FC have posted a record of 8-2-3 all-time against the Dash, including a record of 3-1-3 on the road against Houston. Portland is unbeaten in its last seven matches (5-0-2) against the Dash, scoring two or more goals in five of those matches, including a 3-1 win June 22, 2018, at BBVA Stadium. Notably, Ana Crnogorcevic scored a goal in all three meetings with the Dash last season.

Next match

Thorns FC return to the Rose City to play host to Reign FC on Friday, July 5, at Providence Park. Beginning at 8 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be available on Yahoo! Sports.

FIFA Women's World Cup update: USWNT advances to quarterfinal round to face France

The USWNT advanced to the quarterfinal round of the tournament with a 2-1 win over Spain in the Round of 16 on June 24. Tobin Heath made her third start of the tournament in the match, while Lindsey Horan made an appearance as a second-half substitute. The United States squares off against France in the quarterfinals on Friday at 12 noon (Pacific) on FOX.

Australia, Brazil and Canada all concluded the tournament, falling in their Round of 16 matches. Australia battled with Norway, falling in penalty kicks after the game was level at 1-1 through 120 minutes on June 22. Ellie Carpenter, Caitlin Foord and Hayley Raso all started for the Matildas in the match.

Brazil squared off against France in the Round of 16 on June 23, with France recording a 2-1 win in extra time. Andressinha made her second appearance of the tournament, entering the match as a substitute.

Christine Sinclair started her fourth straight match of the tournament for Canada against Sweden on June 24. Sweden prevailed with a 1-0 win to advance to the quarterfinal round.

Lindsey Horan, Adrianna Franch nominated for Best NWSL Player at 2019 ESPYS

Thorns FC midfielder Lindsey Horan and goalkeeper Adrianna Franch are finalists for the "Best NWSL Player" award at the 2019 ESPYS. Horan and Franch are among four nominees for the award, along with Chicago Red Stars forward Sam Kerr and North Carolina Courage defender Abby Erceg.

The 2019 ESPYS take place on July 10, at will air live on ABC at 5 p.m. (Pacific).

Additionally, fans can purchase tickets at the Providence Park box office, which is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Pacific), Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Pacific) and will be closed on Sunday-Tuesday, unless it is a matchday at Providence Park.
