
Thorns FC to Host San Diego Wave FC in NWSL Playoffs Semifinal on October 23

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC will play host to San Diego Wave FC in the semifinal round of the 2022 NWSL playoffs at Providence Park on Sunday, Oct. 23; kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Pacific) on CBS Sports Network. Individual tickets for the playoff match are on sale now (Pacific) online at www.thornsfc.com or by phone at (888) 983-1783. The club is donating a portion of the ticket proceeds to local charities selected with Thorns FC players.
Portland (10-3-9, 39pts) earned the No. 2 seed in the playoffs, qualifying for the postseason for a sixth consecutive campaign. It also marks the fifth time in six seasons Thorns FC have earned a top-two finish in the NWSL. The Oct. 23 match will mark the first meeting between Portland and San Diego in the NWSL playoffs.
The winner of the Oct. 23 playoff game will advance to the 2022 NWSL Championship presented by Budweiser at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m. (Pacific) on CBS. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at https://www.nwslsoccer.com/championship.
