PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC have signed midfielder Katy Byrne as a National Team Replacement player, it was announced today.
Byrne played four seasons (2015-18) at Pepperdine, appearing in 66 career matches (17 starts). During her career at Pepperdine, Byrne recorded three goals and five assists.
National Team Replacement players can be signed when a national team player is away on international duty and will not count against the team's roster limit.
