PORTLAND, Ore. - Playing their fourth game in a span of 12 days, Thorns FC recorded a 2-1 win over NJ/NY Gotham FC at Providence Park on Wednesday night. Sophia Smith and Christine Sinclair each tallied a goal in the first half to secure the win. Portland extended its unbeaten streak to eight games (6-0-2) and sits atop the NWSL standings with nine matches remaining in the regular season.
