Portland Thorns FC are set to play host to the Houston Dash tonight at Providence Park; kickoff is set for 7 p.m. (Pacific) on FOX 12 PLUS, with a streaming option on Paramount+. Following the match, media can join the postgame press conference.
With a win, Portland can become the first team to clinch a berth in the 2021 NWSL playoffs, which would mark the team's seventh trip to the playoffs in eight regular seasons. Tonight's meeting is the fourth across all competitions between Thorns FC and the Dash in 2021. Thorns FC are 1-0-2 in the three previous matches, including a 2-2 draw on Aug. 18 in the Women's International Champions Cup at Providence Park, which saw Portland advance to the final of the competition with a win in penalty kicks. In NWSL regular season action, Thorns FC are 7-1-0 all-time at home against the Dash.
