Portland Thorns FC play host to the Women's International Champions Cup at Providence Park tonight with a match against the Houston Dash. Tonight's match kicks off at 8 p.m. (Pacific) and features a national television broadcast on ESPN2. Following the match, media can join the postgame press conference, and using the passcode WICC.
Portland and Houston meet for the third time this season tonight, and will square off two more times in NWSL regular-season action later this season. The two previous matches were both played in Houston. Thorns FC and the Dash played to a 1-1 draw in the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup, while Portland earned a 1-0 win in regular-season play on July 24 at BBVA Stadium.
Barcelona and Olympique Lyonnais square off in the first match today, beginning at 5:30 p.m. (Pacific) on ESPNU. Portland will take on either Barcelona or Lyon on Saturday, Aug. 21. The winner of each match will meet in the final on Saturday at 7 p.m. (Pacific) on ESPN2, while the third-place match kicks off at 4:30 p.m. (Pacific) on ESPNU.
