PORTLAND, Ore. - In their third meeting this year, Portland Thorns FC and NJ/NY Gotham FC played to a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon at Providence Park. Thorns FC recorded their league-leading sixth shutout of the season, registering their fifth clean sheet in their last six games.
Clean Sheets
Portland (5-3-1, 16pts) earned its sixth shutout of the season, which leads the NWSL in 2021. Thorns FC have also registered a league-best four clean sheets in home matches. Notably, Portland has recorded three consecutive shutouts at Providence Park, having not conceded a goal in the past 345 minutes. In her second appearance of the 2021 season, Bella Bixby recorded her second consecutive shutout, and her fourth clean sheet in six appearances across all competitions with Thorns FC.
