Thorns FC Midfielder Kendall Johnson Activated from Disabled List

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC have activated midfielder Kendall Johnson from the 45-day disabled list and have added her to the active roster, the club announced today. Additionally, the club announced that is has waived defender McKenzie Berryhill.

Johnson, 25, appeared in 17 games (12 starts) during the 2015 NWSL season, logging 1,218 minutes and registering one assist during the regular season. The Portland native is in her second season with Thorns FC after previously playing for Sky Blue FC during the 2013 NWSL season.

Berryhill, 23, was selected by Thorns FC in the third round (No. 21 overall) of the 2016 NWSL College Draft, appearing in five games (2 starts) and logging 182 minutes this season.

Thorns FC play host to the Boston Breakers on Sunday, Sept. 4, at Providence Park; kickoff is set for 4 p.m. (Pacific) with a live web stream at www.thornsfc.com.
