NEWS & NOTES

- In addition to being the only Fever player to score 20+ points in each of the first two games, Katie Douglas was also the only player to have multiple steals in the first two games.

- Douglas is the Eastern Conference's leading scorer with an average of 25.0 ppg. Only Phoenix's Cappie Pondexter (25.3 ppg) has a higher average in the league.

- Including a league-leading 14-14 from the foul line, Douglas ranks among the WNBA's top 15 in all three shooting categories. She is 11th in overall field goal percentage (.556) and is 15th in accuracy from the 3-pt line (.462).

- Ebony Hoffman led the Fever with 10 rebounds at Detroit, May 21. That was the third double-digit rebounding game of her career, and her first since 2006.

- Including a career-high six at Detroit, May 21, Tan White has led the Fever in assists in each of the first two games this season. She is tied for sixth in the WNBA with an average of 5.0 apg. White led the team in assists a total of four times in 2007.

- Every time the Indiana Fever's Tammy Sutton-Brown grabs a rebound this season, she will be doing more than just helping the her team. She will also be supporting Athletes for Africa. The two-time WNBA All-Star will be making a $10 donation for every rebound she collects in 2008, and she will be encouraging WNBA fans everywhere to also lend their support. Athletes for Africa is a charitable organization that has focused its efforts on building a global network of people committed to promoting and protecting human rights, and providing education and opportunities that empower youth in Africa. Athletes for Africa's mission is to leverage the positive behaviours and profile of sport to engage youth and educate them about issues facing the people of Africa; partner with, and fundraise for organizations that foster local empowerment in Africa; and advocate to ensure that human rights are remembered and protected. - The Seventh Annual Fever Bowling Tournament presented by Fed Ex and hosted by Pinheads in Fishers will be on Wednesday June 4th at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from this event go to the Fever's Be YOUnique Fund, a grant fund of the Pacers Foundation that assists organizations that serve young women and girls. The cost for a team of four with a Fever celebrity is $600. Or individuals can pay $150 to be placed on a team. - Join the Fever on Saturday, May 31, when they host the Detroit Shock for Heart Healthy Night presented by Community Health Network. Throughout the evening, fans can learn how to make their hearts healthier and participate in the health fair before the game on the Main Concourse. - Join the Fever this season for Family Nights presented by The Indianapolis Star.
