Everett Silvertips News Release

Street Hockey coming soon, volunteers needed

Space is still available in all six divisions (four youth and two adult) of the Silvertips Street Hockey Tournament, but registration closes July 13, so don't wait to get signed up! Click Here for more information or to register your team right away. Teams consist of 5 to 7 players at a total entry fee of $140, with every player getting a FREE ticket to the Silvertips' home opener vs. Kelowna on Oct. 3! We're also looking for volunteer scorekeepers to assist us with the tournament on Saturday, July 19 at Everett's Clark Park. If you don't plan on playing but still want to be a part of the fun, email us at info@everettsilvertips.com to find out how you can help!

One player added yesterday, another tomorrow

The Silvertips brought in a new player via trade yesterday, acquiring 18-year-old forward Graham Millar from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in next year's bantam draft. Everett will also select a European player in tomorrow's CHL Import Draft, holding the 45th of 60 picks in the first round. Although the Silvertips already have the maximum two import players on their roster (D Mirco Mueller and F Ivan Nikolishin), the 'Tips can make one selection in tomorrow's import draft in case Mueller (a first-round pick of the San Jose Sharks) plays in the NHL next year. We'll be live-tweeting the events of the Import Draft starting at 8:00 am, so follow @WHLSilvertips to catch all the action!

See us in Friday's parade

If you're planning on checking out the City of Everett "Colors of Freedom" Independence Day Parade on Friday, keep an eye out for Lincoln and the Silvertips' Fred Meyer FANboni along the route! Local kids from Everett Youth Hockey will be riding the FANboni, so give them a wave as you enjoy the celebration. The Colors of Freedom parade starts at 11 am and travels down Colby and Wetmore Avenues between Wall and 26th streets. Click Here for more on the City of Everett's July 4th festivities.

The Silvertips office will be closed Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Happy Fourth of July, Silvertip Country!
