
Third Period a Charm for the Tips

Everett Silvertips News Release
Third period goals by Marc Desloges, John Dahl and Barry Horman paved the way for an Everett Silvertips 3-1 victory over the Portland WinterHawks on Sunday night at Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon. With the win, the Silvertips move three games over the .500 mark for the first time this season with a record of 19-16-7-1.
Tips' forward Martin Ruzicka also made a nice contribution with 2 assists and goaltender Jeff Harvey was solid in the win with a 29 save performance. The WinterHawks outshot the Silvertips by a margin of 30-22 in the hockey game. Everett went 0 for 3 on the power play and Portland went 1 for 4 on the extra man advantage.
The Silvertips will be back in action on Friday, January 16 when they entertain the Tri-City Americans at the Everett Events Center. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m.
