"The Winning Edge" Contest Gives Fans a Shot at $5,000

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dubuque Fighting Saints and presenting sponsor American Trust are proud to announce the return of "The Winning Edge," which gives fans a chance to win exclusive prizes throughout March, including a $5,000 grand prize giveaway at the end of the month. The contest is underway, and fans can enter online, at all American Trust locations, and at Fighting Saints games for a chance to win.

"Since American Trust became the presenting sponsor of the Dubuque Fighting Saints in 2010, we look forward each year to rallying around Dubuque's USHL hockey team," said Nick Schrup, American Trust president and CEO. "We couldn't be more pleased with the performance of the team again this year. As presenting sponsor, American Trust is proud to kick-off the 2014 "Winning Edge" promotion. One lucky Saints fan will take home $5,000 at the American Trust Fan Appreciation Night on March 29. The Mystique Community Ice Center and the Fighting Saints are important community assets that enhance recreational and economic opportunities for the Tri-State area."

At each of the club's seven home games during the month of March, the Fighting Saints will draw for an exclusive prize from all entries submitted. Drawings begin at this weekend's games. On Friday, March 7, one lucky fan will win a chance to join the Fighting Saints on a road trip to Waterloo for the upcoming Saturday, March 15 contest. At Saturday night's game versus Sioux Falls, the lucky fan chosen will win a special behind the scenes package that includes four tickets to the game, a pre-game locker room visit, and the chance to listen to Head Coach and General Manager Matt Shaw's speech to the team. The winner will also be introduced as an honorary member of the Fighting Saints starting lineup.

At the Fighting Saints game on Friday, March 14, a fan will be selected in "The Winning Edge" contest as the lucky winner of a suite night for 10 people at a Fighting Saints game. The winner and their guests will also be outfitted with Fighting Saints drawstring backpacks.

On Saturday, March 22, one fan will win the chance to enjoy an amazing view and rub elbows with some of the Fighting Saints. The winner that night will win four tickets to an upcoming game, and the opportunity to sit in the Fighting Saints penalty box for a period during the game.

Other great prizes include four tickets to an upcoming game, and the chance to have a photo taken on the ice with the entire Fighting Saints team, which scheduled to be awarded at Dubuque's Sunday, March 23 game. On Friday, March 28, one fan drawn in "The Winning Edge" contest will get a complimentary paid membership for one child in the Bernie and Earny Kids Club for every year until the child's 13th birthday.

The final prize will be drawn for during the intermission of the Saturday, March 29 game versus Indiana. American Trust will award a $5,000 check to one fan as the grand prize winner of "The Winning Edge" contest. All entries submitted will be eligible to win, and there is no limit on the number of entries submitted. Fans can submit entries at Fighting Saints games, at all American Trust locations, or online via American Trust's Facebook page.

We can't wait to congratulate the winners at each March home game, particularly the $5,000 grand prize winner on March 29."

The Fighting Saints are at home for a pair of games this weekend where fans can enter "The Winning Edge" contest. Friday at 7:35 p.m. the Fighting Saints host the Chicago Steel for Al Capone Night. The first 1,000 fans receive a Gangster Fedora Hat. Saturday the Fighting Saints host Sioux Falls and it is Girls Night Out presented by DBQ Fashions. The evening features a special ticket package for ladies that includes a chocolate and wine tasting presented by Chocolaterie Stam, a Hockey 101 session with a Fighting Saints coach, as well as a pair of stemless wine glasses. The package includes a corner section ticket and is just $20. Season ticket holders can add the Girls Night Out package for only $12.
