1st Period:

The Storm started early. On an early powerplay, Storm leading scorer Pavel Gogolev meleed his way up ice fending off a resistance of several Generals players. But, Gogolev's raw, untamed power was enough to get the job done firing a blaster to the top shelf putting the Storm up one to nothing.

A great period from Jacob Winterton, the local boy. Winterton is always one of the Generals hardest workers and he showed that this period playing well on the powerplay controlling the puck with patience and retrieving it with gusto.

Several battles continued throughout the period, and your Generals dominated possession. With three powerplays and posting ten shots over the Storm's five the Generals got their chances. But the force was not with them this period, ending 1-0.

2nd Period:

The Gens started off the scoring in the second with an incredible effort from Allan McShane. Tullio held the puck behind the Storm goal line, he made a quick pass out to Kyle MacLean who acted as a diversion while McShane snuck into the slot. McShane received a pass then found a way to bat it in while he was spinning and falling. Check it out here.

Brett Neumann showed that he is the only player faster than the Millenium Falcon throughout this period kicking in the hyperdrive generating a few intense rushes up the ice.

Serron Noel would strike next. Receiving a puck down low from William Ennis, and was all alone against Bennett. Noel's skill one-on-one is like bringing a lightsaber to a fist fight and he succeeded once again slipping a wrist shot past Bennett on the glove side.

But the enemy stormed back with a laserbeam of a slapshot from Josh Wainman from the point on a Storm powerplay.

The Storm turned up the offense this period. Paputsakis was a rock this period. He kept the game alive on a big save on Eric Uba along with several other big stops throughout several Storm powerplays.

The Generals started to get physical, with big hits that earned cheers from Serron Noel, Ty Tullio and Brett Neumann.

The next goal came from a two-on-one rush. Kyle MacLean rushed the puck up the left wing and used the force to float a saucer pass to padawan Brett Harrison who executed Order 66, burying a one timer on Bennett.

The period ended 3-2 for your Generals outshooting the Storm 22-12.

3rd Period:

The third period started with a Generals powerplay. Allan McShane had a near-miss on a one-timer from a Serron Noel pass that Bennett managed to deflect with his shield.

Serron Noel would be the next on the scoreboard with an east-west pass from Captain Kyle to blast home is second of the night. Serron Noel was a master in this game. The force awakened inside of him and everything seemed to be going his way.

Next up, Brett Harrison launched a shot at Owen Bennett, who left a juicy rebound. Ty Tullio was there to pick it up and put the trash into the garbage chute extending the Generals' advantage to 5-2.

Paputsakis was on fire to finish the period keeping the Storm side of the equation at two, no more and no less.
