"The hunt is on" say the Detroit Panthers

Detroit, MI. Detroit is home to some of the most exciting sports teams in the world. Its heralded athletes on the field and on the court action that can only be described by one word - "AWESOME." From hockey to basketball, Detroit has a tremendous history of success in both male and now female dominated sports.

The action continues as Detroit introduces its latest sport phenomenon - THE DETROIT PANTHERS. The ABA team will host 18 games in its inaugural season with the same energy and zeal as other Hometown teams in the market. Owner and Superbowl Champion, Charlie Batch, is excited about bringing the kind of action and competition fans deserve to see at an affordable cost. That's because tickets are only $10. per person or season tickets are $180 for all 18 home games.

Over the next several weeks, we will continue to complete our roster, staffing and internships starting with a FREE AGENT CAMP on Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th at the Weeber Center, located at 1411 Coolidge (near W. Jefferson). Camp registration is $100; additionally there will be a free-camp tryout Friday, October 6th at 10am. Ten people will be selected. Those 10 people will have the ability to participate in the Free Agent Camp. Those selected for the Free Agent Camp will have the opportunity to be part of The Detroit Panthers starting lineup as they go on the hunt for victory during the 2006-2007 season.

If you are a former cheerleader, dancer, gymnast, or Mom who wants a change, then check out the newest dance team in Detroit! Dance team auditions will be held on Saturday, October 14th; pre-registration will be at 530pm. Auditions will be held from 6pm-8pm. Auditions are for women ages 18 and up. The cost is $20. if you pre-register or $25 at the door.

Metro Cheer Training Center is the official home of the 2006-2007 Detroit Panthers Dance Team, located at 38750 Webb Drive, Suite #200, in the city of Westland. Team practices will be held once a week and members will perform at all home basketball games in addition to special guest appearance and community service events.
