Detroit Panthers News Release
BIRMINGHAM, MI - The Detroit Panthers Foundation hosted its annual golf outing yesterday at The Historic Inn at St. John's Golf Receptions & Conference Center in Plymouth, MI.
"The Foundation's Mission is to fight youth obesity through education and athletics throughout Southeast Michigan," said Kevin A. Carter. This is one of two major fundraisers the Foundation holds each year to financial support its Mission.
It was another successful golf outing here at St. John's this year. Archbishop and Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church Adam Joseph Maida (pictured above) took a moment to pose with Kevin A. Carter while golfers were spoiled with 18 holes of golf with cart, continental breakfast, lunch at the turn, a gourmet prepared Rib eye steak dinner, unlimited drink tickets (all day) and a live auction. "I must say, no one left disappointed today," explained Carter. "The Foundation is coming up on its three year anniversary and is off to a great start."
The next fundraiser will be The Foundations Annual Walk-a-Thon through the downtown streets of Detroit on Sunday, October 18, 2009. This event is sponsored by the Detroit Free Press and Flagstar Bank.
