Panthers' Owner Speaks Before High School Student

BIRMINGHAM, MI-JUNE 20, 2009 - Kevin A. Carter, Chairman of the Detroit Panthers Basketball Organization was a guest speaker this afternoon before some of SE Michigan's highest recurred football players and their parents to discuss his life experiences in academics, athletics and now ownership in a minor league basketball organization. The program was hosted by Playmakers University (www.playmakersu.com) which is local athletic and educational training program for all student athletes looking to achieve athletic and academic excellence. The organization is lead by Mr. Derek Denham. Some of the other panelist was former high school All-American football star (Detroit Country Day School) and now Notre Dame running back Jonas Gray and student athlete recruiter and founder of Total Student Athlete, Inc. Mike Kostoff. "It's programs like Playmaker U that are giving our kids the full scope of the business of sports and preparing them for the future and the Panther Organization is proud to be apart of Mr. Dunham's program, said Carter".
