Georgia Force News Release

The Georgia Force opens its second two-game home stand of the season when it hosts the Grand Rapids Rampage on Sunday, March 9th at 12:00 p.m. in the Arena at Gwinnett Center. The Force will also be making a second straight; fourth overall, appearance on NBC, as the contest will be broadcast regionally on the network.

Georgia, again rated top in total defense, will be tested this week when Grand Rapids brings its second ranked scoring offense to the South. Last week, the Force defense caused three turnovers and made L.A. turn the ball over on downs twice. Georgia's offense also hit its stride against the Avengers scoring on all its second half possessions. Although this is only the second meeting between Georgia and Grand Rapids, these two teams share a little history dating back to the 2001 season. Grand Rapids defeated the Nashville Kats 64-42 in ArenaBowl XV capturing the club's first AFL title. The 64 points scored by the Rampage was the most in ArenaBowl history. At the conclusion of the 2001 season, the Nashville Kats relocated to Atlanta and became the Georgia Force.

This week's Force Fanatics contest will pit the Bluezone vs. the Blackzone in a Tug of War! Are YOU a Force Fanatic?

You've seen them. They're the ones tailgating in the parking lot; Force flags flowing in the breeze, or drizzle, or downright rain! They're always up on the latest team news. They check the website daily. They have long abandoned evening sit-com conversation at the water cooler for a lively banter about their favorite player's performance the weekend before, or who is going to bring the grill next weekend!

Wait a minute... do "they," sound like you?? Then you just might be a prime candidate for the Force Fanatics! And here's the best part! Right now membership is absolutely FREE! That's right! Your only responsibility to fulfill for membership is to make sure that everyone at your workplace, school, church group, or whoever, knows that you're a Force Fanatic and that you want them to be too! Go to http://www.georgiaforce.com/fan/forcefanatics.asp for more information...

Come out early for a special Buffalo's breakfast buffet On weeks that the Force is on the road, Force Fanatics can often be found at the Buffalo's viewing parties at Buffalo's, across from the arena.
