Texas Legends and NBA D-League Tips off NBA D-League Cares Week of Service

The NBA D-League, its teams, and players will tip off the Annual NBA D-League Cares Week of Service for the 2010-11 season on Nov. 7. NBA D-League teams will host a variety of hands-on service events through Nov. 14 in a collaborative effort to give back to children, families, and the community and to increase fan awareness about the importance of service.

The Texas Legends project taking place as part of the NBA D-League Cares Week of Service includes:

. Sounds of Freedom event hosted by the city of Fairview, which is a Veterans' Park Dedication ceremony that will include the unveiling of monuments for each of the six branches of military service and the dedication of memorial stones given in honor and memory of American veterans. This event will take place on Saturday, November 13th from 3:00-6:00pm. For more info, please visit www.soundsOfreedom.org.
