Skyforce to Host Intrasquad Scrimmage/YFORCE Basketball League Kickoff Event

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Nov. 12, 2010) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce will host an intrasquad scrimmage at the Sioux Falls Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. Prior to the scrimmage YFORCE Basketball League players will participate in a skills challenge and Sanford Health athletic health experts will speak to parents about the importance of hydration and nutrition for young athletes.

The event is free but fans are encouraged to donate a canned food item for Feeding South Dakota Sioux Falls Food Pantry. The scrimmage will be the first time fans can see the team in action and 2010-11 season ticket packages will be available for pickup.

Coaches will submit an opening day roster of 10 players on Thursday, Nov. 18 as the Skyforce opens the season on the road against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. CT.

Season tickets and 12-ticket flex packs for the 2010-11 season are on sale. Discounts and benefits are also available for groups of 10 or more. The home opener is set for Saturday, Nov. 27 against the rival Dakota Wizards. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Arena.
