
Testa, Naturals Top Roughriders

SPRINGDALE, AR - Carlo Testa delivered three hits, and was just a single shy of the cycle, as the Northwest Arkansas Naturals to a 9-5 win over the Frisco RoughRiders on Sunday night at Arvest Ballpark.
The RoughRiders (29-20) got on the board first for the second straight night, getting a single from Jurickson Profar, and Mike Olt followed with a single moving Profar to third. Profar scored on a wild pitch by Naturals' starter Ethan Hollingsworth to make it 1-0.
The Naturals for the second straight night battled back in the bottom of the first inning. Yem Prades worked a lead-off walk and scored as Testa belted his seventh home run of the season to left field.
The RoughRiders tied the game back up in the top half of the second inning when Leury Garcia scored as Guilder Rodriguez grounded into a double play. Frisco tacked on three more runs getting a three-run home run from Olt that made it 5-2. The home run was the 11th of the season for Olt and his second of the series.
The Naturals (26-23) offense answered back in the bottom of the fifth. Testa ripped a two-out double down the left field line to get things going. Yuniesky Betancourt then blasted a two-run home run to left to cut the RoughRiders lead to 5-4.
Johnny Whittleman led off the bottom of the sixth inning with a double. Rey Navarro followed up by reaching on an error that scored Whittleman and tied the game at five. Navarro stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. Paulo Orlando singled to left field to plate Navarro and give the Naturals their first lead of the game. The RoughRiders went to the bullpen summoning on Trevor Hurley.
Hurley walked Ryan Jenkins on four pitches, and surrendered a single to Prades to load the bases. Testa followed with a bases clearing triple to give the Naturals a 9-5 lead.
Hollingsworth went four and two-thirds innings allowing eight hits five runs, while striking out two. His counter part Jacob Brigham (2-2) went five and a third innings allowing seven hits and six runs, five of which were earned.
Buddy Baumann (3-0) worked three innings allowing just one hit while striking out four to earn the win. Patrick Keating worked a perfect inning and a third to close out the game for the Naturals.
The Naturals will wrap up a three-game series with the Frisco RoughRiders tomorrowafternoon at 1:05 PM. The Naturals are offering a special military discounton Memorial Day. Allactive or retired members of the military will receive twofree tickets, when they present a military ID at the box office.Noel Arguelles will take the hill for the Naturals (2-4, 6.52) against the RoughRiders left-hander Tim Murphy (1-5, 6.27).
