Tesho Akindele Called into Canadian National Team Camp

FRISCO, TEXAS- FC Dallas forward Tesho Akindele has been called into Canadian National Team camp by Interim Head Coach Michael Findlay.

Canada will be based in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., from Thursday, Jan. 12, through Wednesday, Jan. 18, before traveling to Bermuda for an international friendly on Sunday, Jan. 22.

Akindele, 24, has appeared in 85 league matches for FC Dallas since being drafted, sixth overall in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft. The Colorado School of Mines product has found the back of the net 18 times and has added eight assists, four of which came last season.

Akindele and New York Red Bull forward Bradley Wright-Phillips are the only two players in MLS to have scored in playoffs in each of the past three seasons.
