Evansville BlueCats News Release
LSU graduate Terry Phillips will be returning for his second season with the Bluecats. The 6'7", 300 pound Phillips played for LSU in the 2000 Peach Bowl, and on the 2001 SEC champion and 2002 Sugar Bowl champion teams. This offensive lineman was the most influential in gaining the Bluecats the honor of being one of the top offensive teams in the NIFL for the 2004 season.
"I'm excited to see the commitment by all of our football players I've invited back for the 2005 season," says Head Coach Ollie Guidry, "Leading the way is Terry Phillips my offensive left guard. Terry will be playing both sides of the ball this year because of his great versatility."
Phillips is the first in Bluecat history to make the Atlantic Conference All- Star Team in his first year in pro football.
