Kitchener Rangers News Release

Join us for the 24th Annual Kitchener Rangers Teddy Bear Toss on Tuesday, December 11 when the Rangers play host to the Oshawa Generals. Bring a new or gently used teddy bear to the game and immediately following the Rangers' first goal, throw your bear onto the ice surface. Bears will then be collected & turned over to local charitable organizations just in time for Christmas.

Teddy Bear Guidelines & Restrictions

SIZE: The most asked for bears are the small to medium-large! Giant bears are fun, but are harder to re-home.

MATERIAL: Steer clear of any bears with battery packs or larger hard surfaces. The toss is meant to be enjoyable for all fans and throwing a hard object could cause injury to someone in the crowd. Fluffy and soft is the way to go!

CLEAN: It's important we keep these stuffies dry and clean for their future owners. Remember to place bears in a clear plastic bag. We will have some plastic bags available at the game. This will ensure they don't pick up any dirt or water on the ice or ground.

Recipient Form & Pickup

REGISTER: Click here to download a recipient form or pick one up in-person at our office. Forms will also be available at our registration desk at time of pickup. All are welcome.

PICKUP: will start at 7:30am on December 12th in the Zamboni bay at The Aud. New this year, we will have a staffed registration desk.

Again this season, the Kitchener Rangers partner with Canadian Tire's Jumpstart program, a national charity dedicated to providing children from financially disadvantaged families with the opportunity to experience the benefits of organized sport and physical activity.

To apply for assistance, call our toll free number at 1-877-616-6600 and based on your postal code a representative will provide a contact on the closest Jumpstart chapter. To find out more information about Jumpstart, please visit jumpstart.canadiantire.ca.
