Team Alberta U16 Announces Americans Prospect Marc Lajoie to Leadership Group for 2019 Canada Winter Games

RED DEER, AB - Hockey Alberta has announced the leadership group for Team Alberta's U16 Male Team for the 2019 Canada Winter Games. Americans prospect Marc Lajoie will serve as an Assistant Captain.

Lajoie was selected by Tri-City in the first-round (14th overall) of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft. The 15-year-old defenseman has recorded 31 points (10 goals and 21 assists) in 30 games with Northern Alberta X-Treme (CSSHL) this season.

The 2019 Canada Winter Games will take place in Red Deer, AB. Team Alberta kicks off round-robin play against Team Saskatchewan on Saturday at 7:30pm, with games against Manitoba and BC set for Sunday at 4:00pm and 7:30pm, respectively. All games are at the Centrium at Westerner Park.
