
Taylor Named Fsl Player of the Week

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Florida State League announced on Tuesday that St. Lucie Mets first baseman/outfielder Kevin Taylor is the league's Player of the Week.
During the period of June 27-July 3, Taylor was 13 for 31 with two home runs, two doubles, 11 RBIs and seven runs scored.
Taylor has registered eight multiple hit games in his last 10 contests. He has raised his batting average from .281 to .309 during the span. His .309 average is tied for fourth in the FSL with teammate Tomas Nido. He is second in the FSL with a .393 on-base percentage.
Taylor leads the Mets with seven home runs and 34 RBIs.
Taylor, 24, is in his first season with the Mets organization. He was signed to a minor league contract earlier this year after playing for the Laredo Lemurs of the American Association in 2015.
