Taylor Hawkins Signs for Year Two

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, a proud member of the IFL and powered by Community Care, sees Taylor Hawkins return to Tulsa for a second season.

Hawkins, proved to be one of the top ballhawks of the inaugural campaign with the Oilers, playing in all 15 games finishing top three in tackles with 56 while 45 being solo. The familiar face in Green Country snagged two interceptions and led the team in pass breakups by a landslide with 11.

The returning Oilerreunited with head coach Marvin Jones after spending three seasons with the Omaha Beef of the CIF by signing with Tulsa last season. The Covington, Georgia native produced 110 solo tackles in 37 games for an average of 2.97 solo tackles per game. The 6'2, 192 lbs. defensive back recorded 24 pass breakups and 12 interceptions in his CIF career while winning a championship with the Beef in 2021.

The former Omaha Beef member played his college football at Reinhardt University.

Tulsa will see its second season begin on the road against the Frisco Fighters on March 22, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. CST. The Oilers will open their home schedule facing the Iowa Barnstormers at the BOK Center on April 6, at 7:05 p.m. CST.
