
Sharks Hire Offensive Coordinator

JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Jacksonville Sharks are proud to announce that Charlie Hunt will serve as the Offensive Coordinator for the 2024 season. Hunt is entering his seventh year on the Sharks coaching staff. He served three seasons as the player personnel/ special teams coach, in 2022 he was the offensive assistant, and last year as the wide receivers coach. This year, he will be stepping into his new role as Offensive Coordinator.
"Charlie is an outstanding coach," Head Coach Jason Gibson said. "His background as a player and more recently as a coach here in Jacksonville makes him vital to our success."
Coach Hunt was a player on the 2017 team when the Sharks claimed their first National Arena League (NAL) title. He was a team captain, jack linebacker, and the NAL Defensive Player of the Year (2017). Hunt had a great career in arena football spending a majority of it in Jacksonville with the Sharks. He was the team's First Team All-Arena Jack Linebacker, making an appearance in the Arena Bowl XXIV championship game during the team's second season as a franchise and their first-ever championship win!
Coach Hunt is a local of Jacksonville, Florida and spends his free time serving as an offensive coordinator of Episcopal High School.
