Taylor Dollard Named Texas League Pitcher of the Month for June

Taylor Dollard of the Arkansas Travelers was chosen as Texas League Pitcher of the Month for June. He put together a perfect slate going 5-0 in as many starts with a 0.86 ERA. Over 31.1 innings, he allowed just three runs on 17 hits while striking out 29. Opponents hit just .153 off him for the month. In his first four June outings, he gave up just one run.
Overall in 15 starts this season Dollard has an 8-2 record with a 1.38 ERA. He has struck out 73 and walked only 16 over 78.1 innings with opponents hitting just .188. He leads the TL in ERA, WHIP (0.88) and wins.
Dollard was drafted by the Mariners in the 5th round in 2020. He split last year, his first season as a pro, between Class-A Modesto and High-A Everett making 19 total starts. The 23-year old pitched three years in college at Cal Poly.
The Travelers are home this weekend at Dickey-Stephens Park against the Springfield Cardinals with fireworks Friday, a t-shirt giveaway on Saturday and the Kids Day Bash on Sunday.
