
Tapp and Mallards Shut Out River Otters 4-0

Jason Tapp collected his fourth shutout of the season as the Quad City Mallards defeated the Missouri River Otters 4-0 Friday night at the Family Arena.
Neither team was able to dent the twine in the first period of play. Quad City took command of the game in the second period on two goals by Jeff Petruic and one apiece from J. J. Wrobel and Jesse Rycroft. The third period was scoreless and the Mallards skated off with the victory. Tapp made 30 saves in the shutout victory while Corey Wogtech made 26 saves in defeat.
The River Otters travel to Quad City to take on the Mallards Saturday night at the MARK for the back end of a home-and-home set. The puck drops at 7:00 CST, and all the action can be heard on KSLQ 104.5 FM and the B2 Networks, located at www.riverotters.com.
