
Tan Named to USL Team of the Week for Second Time

PEORIA, Ariz. - The United Soccer League announced today that Arizona United Soccer Club forward Long Tan has been named to the USL Team of the Week. Tan received the honors following a two-goal performance against Tulsa Roughnecks FC last Saturday.
This is the third straight week Arizona United has had a player named to the USL Team of the Week. Tan was named to the team in Week 13 after he scored United's game-winning goal against Saint Louis FC on June 18. Last week, forward Tyler Blackwood was named to the USL Team of the Week following a two-goal Week 14 against Rio Grande Valley FC and Sacramento Republic FC.
The is the fourth time an Arizona United player has received Team of the Week honors. In addition to Blackwood's and Tan's honors the past two weeks, midfielder Luke Rooney was named to the team of the week on April 19 and midfielder Sam Garza received honorable mention honors the week of May 9.
Arizona United takes on Swope Park Rangers KC this Saturday, July 9, at the Peoria Sports Complex. Kickoff will be at 7:30 P.M. and fans can purchase their tickets at www.arizonaunited.com.
