LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws have named Chris Tafrow, most recently their Senior Vice President of Business Operations, to be the team's new General Manager, effective immediately, it was announced today.
He will be charge of all aspects of the BlueClaws business operation including Ticket Packages and Group Outings, Corporate Partnerships, Marketing, Stadium Operations, Food & Beverage, and Special Events. He will also be responsible for continuing, forging, and expanding business relationships within the Jersey Shore business community.
"Chris has been a valued member of the BlueClaws family since 2001 and is ready to move into this new expanded role as our General Manager," said BlueClaws Team President Joe Finley. "We are very excited for the future of the BlueClaws as we move into 2016."
Tafrow has, in his time with the BlueClaws, worked in Food & Beverage, Corporate Sales, and Marketing Departments and will now oversee the team's entire operation.
"This is a wonderful opportunity and in many ways a dream come true," said Tafrow, who grew up in Toms River and graduated from Toms River High School East. "I am very excited to continue in a place and with an organization that has played a big part in my life, and continuing and expanding upon our mission of affordable, family, entertainment."
Tafrow currently resides in Hazlet with his wife Christine and daughter Skye.
The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. They have led the South Atlantic League and New Jersey in attendance in each season since they opened their doors in 2001.
