TACOMA, WASH. - After getting a 3-2 win against LA Galaxy II last weekend to stay alive in the postseason hunt, Tacoma Defiance (10-13-8, 38 points) hits the road to take on Phoenix Rising FC (20-5-6, 66 points) in its final game of the regular season.
Tacoma is one point shy of LA Galaxy II for the fourth and final playoff spot. Defiance can make the postseason in a few ways. Tacoma would clinch a spot in the postseason with a win over Phoenix combined with Oakland and LA to both failing to win. If Tacoma draws, Defiance would need LA and Oakland to lose to advance to the postseason. However, if Defiance and Oakland both drew and LA lost there would be a three way tie for fourth, and Defiance would advance with 37 in-division points.
