
Tacoma Defiance Drops 2-1 Road Result to LAFC2

FULLERTON, CALF. - Tacoma Defiance (8-4-6, 33 points) lost 2-1 to LAFC2 (3-10-5, 14 points) Sunday evening at Titan Stadium. Tacoma remains in first place in the Pacific Division after tonight's result, three points ahead of Whitecaps FC 2, with one game in hand.
After LAFC2's Matheus Maia got the home side on the board in the 11th minute, Chris Aquino equalized for Tacoma in the 27th minute. Sota Kitahara played a ball in front of goal that was deflected by LAFC2 goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau right to the feet of Aquino, who converted the easy finish. LAFC scored the winner in the 57th minute courtesy of a close-range effort by Tamir Ratovitz.
Following tonight's contest, Wade Webber's side heads home to take on Whitecaps FC 2 on Sunday, July 30 at Starfire Stadium (12:00 p.m. PT / MLSNEXTPro.com).
