
T-Bones Light up the Field, Win against Canaries

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City T-Bones (27-16) faced off in the final game of the series against the Sioux Falls Canaries (17-26) in front of 6,157 enthusiastic fans. The T-Bones would light off their own Independence Day fireworks on the field, beating the Canaries 3-2.
The first run of the night would come earlyin the second inning from Sioux Falls. A double by Maxx Garrett would score Chris Grayson, for an early lead 1-0. T-Bones starting RHP Pasquale Mazzoccoli (3-0) struck out two out of the next three Canaries' battersto end the inning.
The T-Bones answered the Canaries in their half of the fifth inning. Taylor Featherston hit a double into right field. Keith Curcio advanced to first from an errorby the Canaries' first baseman to score Featherston. Curcio then scored an unearned run to bring the T-Bones ahead 2-1.
The T-Bones didn't have time to rest as the Canaries were quick to come backin the sixth. A wild pitch by T-Bones' relief pitcher Jackson Lowery advanced Canaries' Garrett. This put him at an advantageous position to score off of Glassers' single RBI to tie game 2-2.
T-Bones' Joe Filomeno (3-1) and Cody Winiarski would both come in as relief. CarlosDiaz would come in as the closer.Joe Filomeno is credited with the win.
The Canaries' would send in Tyler Wolfe (0-1) to relieve starting RHP Kevin Folman (2-1). In a defensivemove they also shuffled many of their players on the field in order to try and shake things up. Wolfe is credited with the loss.
The T-Bones' Nick Torres scored a solo home run, which brought the score to 3-2. This was the last score earned by eitherteam for the remainder of the game. The T-Bones clinched the series (2-1), against Sioux City winning four of their last five series.
The T-Bones hit the road and travel to Texas to face off against the Airhogs at at QuikTrip Park.
