KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City T-Bones announced that they have acquired pitcher Ryan Fennell from New Jersey of the Can-Am League for a player to be determined later.

Fennell, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound right hander from Pittsford, N.Y., has split time in 2013 between independent Can-Am teams Newark and New Jersey. The 23-year-old Fennell began his professional career in 2012 in the Cincinnati Reds organization.

Fennell is expected to be in uniform tonight as the T-Bones play host to Lincoln for the second game of a three-game series at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

Earlier Tuesday, in a separate deal, the club announced it traded Matt Padgett and Lucas Irvine to New Jersey for four players to be named later.
