(Peterborough, ON) - On Saturday, January 20, the Peterborough Petes hosted the 2024 Memorial Cup host Saginaw Spirit for Bell Let's Talk night at the PMC. The Spirit won the game by a score of 3-1.
The Petes debuted their new alternate black jerseys during the game. For more information on the jerseys, click here.
Peterborough welcomed back 2023 OHL Champion Owen Beck during the game, who was traded to the Spirit in return for Aiden Young and three picks at the trade deadline. Young also faced his former team for the first time, starting the game alongside Captain Jonathan Melee and Braydon McCallum.
Liam Sztuska led the way for the Petes, stopping 45/47 in the loss. Chase Lefebvre scored the lone Peterborough goal, while Tommy Purdeller and Cam Gauvreau picked up the assists.
